They joined the Sussex County League Division Two in 1974. In the 1993–94 season, they reached the 2nd round of the FA Vase, and bettered this with a run to the 5th round in 2008. Their best performance in FA Cup was third qualifying round in season 2008–09. They became members of the Isthmian League Division One South, having won the championship of the Sussex County League in the 2007–08 season, but finished bottom of the league and were relegated.
==History==

The club was formed in 1894 and started playing in the local Tunbridge Wells leagues.〔(Crowborough Athletic ) Nomad-Online〕 In the early 1950s the club moved to its present home of Alderbrook Recreation Ground.〔(Club History ) Crowborough Athletic F.C.〕
They joined the Sussex County League in 1974,starting in division two, spending ten seasons in the division before being relegated to division three at the end of the 1983–84 season. The club won promotion back to Division Two in the 1986–87 season. They stayed in that division until they gained further promotion, as Champions, to Division One in the 1992–93 season. The 1992–93 season also saw the club make its debut in its first national FA competition, the FA Vase however this debut only lasted one game, as they lost to West Wickham 1–0. Two seasons later the club then made its debut in the FA Cup, but like the FA Vase, this lasted only one game, losing 9–0 to Corinthian of Kent.〔
However a season later and the club was relegated back to division two. Further relegation followed two seasons later putting the club back in Division Three for the 1999–00 season and although they gained immediate promotion back to Division Two they came straight back down again in 2000–01. The club had to wait until the season 2003–04 to earn promotion and they did it as Champions and making it a league and cup double by beating near neighbours Uckfield Town in the Division Three Cup Final. More success followed as they claimed back-to-back championships and moved back in to Division One.
Further success followed in the 2006–07 season as they won the John O'Hara League Challenge Cup by beating fellow Division One side Sidley United 2–1 in the final.〔 A season later with some work done off the pitch as new dressing rooms were built and the ground was made all enclosed, the club went on to become Sussex County League Division one Champions.〔
The Sussex County League Division One Championship resulted in the club earning promotion to the Isthmian League Division One South. Their time in this league was short only lasting a single season finishing bottom of the league and being relegated back to Division One of the Sussex County League. The club remain in Division One in spite of the FA trying to move them to the Southern Counties East League at the end of the 2012-13 season; a transfer which they successfully appealed against.〔
